When people say "weekend home", they usually picture a hammock and a book. 7:00 a.m.: leaving Bucaramanga with the whole day ahead
The project is 50 minutes from Bucaramanga via the old road to Barrancabermeja, past the La Renta rest stop. That means you can leave with coffee in hand and be at Topocoro before the day gets heavy. The first feeling on arrival is wider air and the reservoir, known locally as "el mar de Santander", appearing between the mountains.
9:00 a.m.: the horseback ride
Horseback riding is one of the experiences in the project's real gallery, with photos and video shot on site. Picture a ride with the mountains and the water behind you, at conversation pace and in no hurry. It works equally well for a couple, a group of friends or a family, because the horse sets the rhythm, not the clock.
11:30 a.m.: ATVs and forest
After that, the plan picks up speed. There are ATV routes, another real experience from the gallery, and ecological trails through native forest inside the project for those who prefer to walk. Reading about nature is one thing. Rolling down a shaded track and switching off the engine at the end to listen to what is around you is another.
3:00 p.m.: pitch, water and social club
The afternoon can be a match. The project has a soccer field and a beach volleyball court, and just 500 meters away are the reservoir's water sports facilities, where kayak, paddleboard, jet ski and wakeboard are on offer. If you would rather slow down, the panoramic pool with a direct view of the reservoir and the social bar are waiting, and pet owners have a dog park for their dogs.
6:00 p.m.: closing the day
What I like about this day is that it did not have to be planned like a trip. Everything happens around one place, with paved roads, solar street lighting and underground wiring already built. That is the difference between visiting somewhere to have a plan and owning a place where plans simply show up. And since each lot is delivered with its own independent title deed, that place is formally yours too.
